The 90" Class AQUOS features full HD Active 3D technology, built-in Wi-Fi and SmartCentral which provides access to Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and movies on demand via Netflix, Vudu and CinemaNow.

The LC-90LE745U costs $11,000 which is the equivalent of just under £7,000. However, if people are willing to forgo a few inches, the 80” equivalent costs $6000 (about £3,800).

In fact, for the lower price, the 80” model features higher AQUOMOTION (Backlight Scanning Refresh Rate) of 480 (compared to 240 of the 90" model) and a higher contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 (compared to 8,000,000:1).

It is generally accepted that the larger the screen, the more immersive the 3D, so Sharp’s massive sets are genuinly bringing the digital 3D cinema experience to the (wealthy) homes of America.
