Objet launch huge 3D printer

3D printer company Objet now offer large full scale 1:1 prototyping with a giant 3D printer called the Objet1000.
Designed for industries that require many product iterations, the Objet1000 offers a build tray size of 39.3 x 31.4 x 19.6 inch. ObJet claim that, unlike similar sized 3D printers, the 1000 can 3D print both small and large objects without any compromise on precision.
It uses the same inkjet-based 3D printing technology employed by Objet’s Connex models which can combine multiple 3D printing materials in a single 3D print job. There are now over 120 materials to choose from, 14 of which can be included in the same 3D print.
"As our largest ever 3D printing system, the Objet1000 takes advanced inkjet 3D printing technology to the next scale," said the company's ceo David Reis. "The system enables our customers in a range of industries to quickly and effectively prototype anything at full size, 1:1 scale, from whole airplane and automobile assemblies to complete household appliances."
