Dimenco licenses Dolby 3D for ultra HD 3D displays

Glasses free 3D display company Dimenco licenses Dolby autostereo format for ultra HD glassless 3D viewing.

The offshoot of Philips is currently showcasing the merger of technologies at the SID Show in Las Vegas. Dolby and Philips have worked together on Dolby 3D – a suite of technologies designed to enhance 3D viewing across various applications and hardware both glasses and non-glasses based.

“Dimenco is showing at SID that its unique expertise combined with Dolby 3D technology results in the best glasses-free full HD 3D experience, ready for the TV-market in 2013,” said Maarten Tobias, CEO of Dimenco. “We’re excited to demonstrate Dolby 3D technology and confirm our leading position in the glasses-free display market.”

The new Dimenco 56” 4K glasses-free 3D display being shown features Dimenco Clear View technology which offers “full HD 3D experience with the highest contrast, deepest black levels and best 3D viewing angle”.

In addition to demonstrating its 56” 4K 3D display, Dimenco will showcase multiple new glasses-free 3D products and innovations at SID.
