A cross platform 3D content app has been launched by 3D Entertainment for $7.99 (£5.11) per month

App3DTV includes a shipping of free 3D glasses with a monthly subscription and is available on Android and Kindle devices.  Support is being developed for Roku and iOS.

“This is a historic opportunity to offer App3DTV to the market,” said Mr. Clark Ortiz, CEO of 3D Entertainment Holdings, Inc. “We are the first to offer an application for all smart devices that include a pair of 3D glasses with each subscription,” continued Mr. Ortiz

According to the press release, the 3D market is set to explode in a few years as Imax Corp. executives recently forecasted that 3D revenues would reach $1 billion in the next few years as the big-screen cinema company expands in China, Russia and the Middle East. “We know that consumers have a strong appetite for 3D content. They are flocking the movie theaters to see 3D movies” said Mr. Ortiz, “We have TV sets and mobile devices ready and the next step we are undertaking is bringing more top of the line 3D content to satisfy the consumer’s need on all smart devices” added Mr. Ortiz

App3DTV currently provides 3D content for all non 3D devices and will continue to work to provide content for those devices and smart TVs that are 3D ready. App3DTV has hundreds of 2D and 3D music videos and movies and will continue to add new content. “This is an incredible and awesome challenge. We are working with 3D producers and content providers and our goal is to offer the largest library of 3D content in the world,” added Mr. Ortiz.

App3DTV has been in beta for the past month and is now a fully launched app filled with 2D and 3D content. “Subscribers can choose if they want to see a movie or a music video on 2D or 3D, and to make it more friendly we have added a free pair of 3D glasses so that they can see the 3D right from their own mobile devices,” ended Mr. Ortiz
