Spatial View’s 3D Content App for iPhone 4 Goes Live
After a series of approval delays, Spatial View’s 3DeeCentral app has finally gone live for Apple iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS and iPod Touch (3rd generation).
The 3DeeCentral website has been live for a while and it offers both premium and free 3D video and photos such as 3D movies, trailers, animation, documentaries, music and events. Today’s news means the same 3D content can be viewed on iPhones without glasses when the 3DeeSlide is attached.
3D Focus TV first saw the prototype at Dimension 3 in Paris (video below). The 3DeeSlide is an accessory with a high-quality lens that slips onto a bracket that attaches to the iPhone. Using lenticular technology, it provides a glasses free 3D viewing experience in a similar way to the LG Optimus 3D and HTC Evo 3D smartphones.
Spatial View is actively engaging partners to develop retail and online distribution channels for the 3DeeSlide so if you have 3D content you should get in touch as they split the revenue 50/50.
Spatial View have just added Eagle Rock Entertainment’s Peter Gabriel’s New Blood Live in London 3D concert to the library. Filmed in HD 3D at Hammersmith Apollo in March of this year, "New Blood – Live In London In 3D" captures Peter Gabriel performing live with a 46-piece New Blood Orchestra. The 129 minute show is priced at $14.99 and the iPhone 3DeeCentral slide is available for $29.99 with shipping to Europe costing $10.44.
Later this month, Spatial View will be releasing the Android version of the 3DeeCentral application with support for the HTC EVO 3D, LG Optimus 3D and Sharp 3D devices. As reported by 3D Focus last month, Spatial View will also be launching our 3DeeScreen accessory which enables glasses-free 3D viewing on 2D laptops.
The free 3DeeCentral app can be downloaded from iTunes here and 3dfocus.co.uk will be reviewing the slide very soon.
