Tesco Runs Out of 3DS Stock After Lowest 3DS Price Offer

UPDATE (16/08/11) - Tesco have replenished 3DS stock, freezing the price of £115. .

After Nintendo were forced to significantly reduce the wholesale price of the Nintendo 3DS due to slower than expected sales, Tesco Direct launched the lowest Nintendo 3DS price of just £115 plus £2.30 worth of Clubcard points. Nintendo's strategy to boost sales have certainly worked as Tesco Direct almost immediately runs out of stock.

It is not clear yet when Tesco will be getting delivery of new Nintendo 3DS stock but potential buyers can sign up to an email alert when it is back in stock.

Meanwhile have reduced their Nintendo 3DS price to £129.91. You can also get The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D or Lego Pirates of the Caribbean for £20 and then Rabbids, Rayman, Combat of The Giants – Dinosaurs, Cubic Ninja or Asphalt for an extra £10. With Amazon, you also get free delivery too.

Between £115 and £130 represents exceptional value for the Nintendo 3DS. Even if you are not keen on the 3D gaming feature, the handset's processing power and augmented reality applications mean the 3DS is not a one trick pony.
