Sky 3D to go free next week

The Sky 3D channel will remain free for all HD subscribers for an extra week after the Olympic Eurosport 3D coverage
Although normally a channel that can only be accessed by Sky’s top tier package subscribers, the Sky 3D channel will be available to Sky’s 4 million plus HD subscribers from August 13th to August 20th, for free. A 3D TV is required of course of which there are approximately 1.5 million sets in the UK according to Display Search, although this estimate includes 3D TVs sold without glasses.
Highlights of Sky 3D free week include David Attenborough’s Bachelor King, Safari Park Adventure 3D, Attack of the Giant Jellyfish, Titanic – 100 Years in 3D and MTV World Stage.
