Aiptek Pocket 3D Camera Review
The Aiptek 3D i2 Audio Quality
In my Aiptek 3D camera video review I think I might have been a bit unfair regarding the audio quality. I used the Aiptek 3D pocket camcorder for an interview with Robert Mayson, President of Consumer Electronics at Real D. Having a pocket camcorder was ideal at the time because I had left my 'proper' camcorder's battery back in my apartment! I filmed the brief interview in 2D and here is the results so you can be the judge over the audio quality….
Editing footage from the Aiptek 3D Camera
A flip out USB connection serves too purposes – one to charge uo the camera via a laptop and the other to transfer the files from the 3D camcorder to your computer. there is inbuilt software within the camcorder but I could not get that to work on both my friend's computer or my own. However, it was not required as the Aiptek 3D camera shows up as removable media on your computer once you plug it in. You can then drag those files (JPEG for still images and MP4 for 2D and 3D footage) to a folder of your choice. Editing the footage is easy. I use Pinnacle Ultimate Studio and the files import to the timeline without any problems.
Review Conclusion for the Aiptek 3D i2 Pocket Camcorder
Overall, I like the Aiptek 3D camera. If it was priced above £300 I would not recommend it but as it is priced at £200, I suggest it is a great investment if you want to wow friends and have fun filming in 3D and that is the point. The Aiptek 3D pocket camcorder is all about fun – not high end 3D movie making. If you can afford the picture frame (about £230 from expertverdict.com) then that will be your best option for viewing the 3D output but if not, try and get yourself some colour code glasses (just a couple of pounds) if you intend to view your content in 3D on YouTube.
The Aiptek 3D pocket camcorder will not offer the same quality as its closest rival, the Fujifilm W3 camera but then again – it is half the price.
A fun 3D camera that has its flaws but generally pretty impressive.
