Stream TV Networks previously demo’ed its Ultra-D technology on a 42” 3D display at CES in January. It is a proprietary auto-stereo 3D standard that can be used for PCs, picture frames, tablets, TVs and set top boxes with browsers.

Part of that is the SeeCube conversion engine that can convert 2D and 3D video into a multi-view format required for multi-person 3D viewing without glasses. At the conference in New York on Wednesday, Journalists can expect to see improved quality and efficiency of the auto-converter box system that can convert a live feed (from a 3D cable channel for example) in real time on a Stream TV Network display. Mathu Rajan, CEO of Stream TV Networks, Inc. will also announce corporate developments and product availability timelines.

Stream TV Networks are developing glasses-free 3D devices having received $4.8 million in debt and equity funding last year. To support its aggressive expansion plans, Stream TV Networks have also just filed with the SEC to raise over $17.2 million having announced a business to business strategy. The company aims to partner with large consumer electronics manufacturers and brands around the world to enable their display products for 3D with the Ultra-D technology. They recently partnered with Pegatron (Unihan), one of the largest global consumer electronics manufacturers in the world serving brands such as Apple, Lenovo and HP, as a manufacturing partner for its Ultra-D television sets.

Stream TV Networks have also launched a 7 inch 2D Android powered tablet computer under its own eLocity brand.

Stream TV Networks is focused on positioning Ultra-D as the standard for the 3D technology and format, like Blu-ray, DVD and VHS. Stream TV Networks are hoping that real time conversion will open up the availability of a wealth of 3D content. Ultra-D leverages custom hardware, middleware techniques and software algorithms to create autostereoscopic 3D imagery without viewing zones.

According to Stream TV Networks “The quality of the 3D viewing experience is so good, that the company expects that its 3D will be a common and ubiquitous phenomenon like the migration from black & white TV to colour TV.”

The Consumer Electronics Association press event in New York runs from 3:45pm ET to 4:15 pm ET at the Metropolitan Pavilion, 2nd Floor, Metropolitan Suite 125 W. 18th, New York, NY 10011.

The agenda includes…

• The Apple® iPad®, Apple TV®, iTunes® being converted to 3D without glasses
