Ravensbourne to hold summer 3D Bootcamp
Jill Smolin, Director for Education from 3ality Technica is flying in from LA to assist with Ravensbourne’s 3D Bootcamp.
Following the well-attended 3D Creative Summit earlier in the year, Ravensbourne has launched the 3D Bootcamp designed to provide filmmakers with practical skills in 3D Stereoscopic.
This intensive 5 day course is aimed at experienced Directors, Producers, DoPs, Production Designers, Editors and VFX/Motion Graphics Artists looking to make their first or second 3D film.
During the 3D Bootcamp filmmakers will work with the latest high-end 3D technology in a real production environment, with a range of 3D rigs and digital film cameras from top providers including 3ality Technica, Sony and RED.
Delegates will also experience first hand the stereo post-production workflow, with hands on experience of 3D offline and online tools including Mistika.
This training is heavily subsidised by Creative Skillset and is only £180 plus VAT.
Funding is also available for travel and accommodation for those living outside London.
“Following the successful 3D Creative Summit, the course is a unique opportunity for filmmakers to gain extensive 3D skills through bespoke one-to-one support, and to explore its great potential for storytelling.” Said Dan Simmons, Head of Film, Creative Skillset.
The 3D Bootcamp will be run 22 – 26 July, Ravensbourne, London.
