Orange TV also plan to launch the 3D channel on mobile devices and tablets as it is an area Head of Orange 3D Project Ghislaine Le Rhun Gautier (interviewed below) believes will drive the uptake of 3D services, especially at the time of the Olympics…

“We could envisage the 2012 Olympics being viewed on mobile devices connected to our service,” she said in August 2011. “A 3D Olympics will be the greatest opportunity for our customers to experience 3D.The event could be the catalyst which truly kicks the market off for 3D.”

Orange TV plan to launch their 3D channel on mobile handsets by February 2012. 3D Focus is waiting to hear back from the press office as to what mobiles will be supported.
