Just days before 3net unveils its new onscreen look (November 4th) the Sony, IMAX and Discovery joint venture 3D channel has announced 15 new 3D programmes will premier this month.

3D Head of Acquisitions Mark Ringwald has acquired new episodes of animated series Dream Defenders 3D and Bolts & Blip 3D, concert progamme Peter Gabriel: New Blood Live and the popular IMAX Nutcracker. A new new travel/food series – Bloody Good 3D, joins the line up along with new episodes of The Ancient Life, Experience 3D and the aquisition World Cities 3D.

"From new original series, to world television premieres and the debut of a brave new on-air design, 3net is continuing to move boldly ahead as we strive to bring consumers the most dynamic and immersive in-home 3D experience possible," said 3net President Tom Cosgrove.

Bloody Good is a new 3D travel and cookery show coming to 3net this month 3net Ramps Up 3D Premieres During NovemberBloody Good 3D, which premieres Sunday November 20th, is an original 3net series which follows meat expert and author Mark Schatzker as he searches the world for the “best, boldest, weirdest and most delicious meats the world has to offer”.

Eagle Rock Entertainment’s Peter Gabriel: New Blood Live concert programme was shown during MIPCOM’s “Creating a New 3D Experience” day and will premiere this Sunday. Featuring quad spilt screen 3D footage it’s certainly one to grab the viewer’s attention. It was filmed during Gabriel's full orchestra performance at London's famed Hammersmith Apollo.

The world television premiere of The IMAX Nutcracker 3D will happen on November 27th. Filmed using IMAX cameras, this is a contemporary, non-ballet adaptation of one of the world's most famous fairy tales, transformed into a "colourful extravaganza".

3net Head of Aquisitions Mark Ringwald has previously told 3dfocus.co.uk that the 3D channel is committed to increasing its original 3D output and hopes to attract enough regular advertisers to fill 30 second to 1 minute slots next year.
