View-Master 3D slides now available for iPhone 4
Nostalgic 3D View-Master images are now available to view in digital glasses free 3D.
3D content and hardware company SpatialView are behind a new website (that went live last night) which features a selection of original View-Master images split into the themes of national parks, travel, nature, and history.
The images are available in packs of 18 to 21 images for $1.99 and can be viewed with SpatialView’s 3DeeSlide accessory which converts the iPhone 4/4S into a glasses free 3D display. Images are also available to view with glasses in anaglyph mode. Support for Android 3D smart phones, Windows PCs, and 3D TV platforms will follow.
The View-Master Digital 3D app is free and available from the iTunes App Store and there are ten sets to choose from at launch such as New England: Covered Bridges and Fall Foliage, Yosemite and Famous People.
The original View-Master was launched in 1939. Since then over 1.5 billion reels have been sold and 25 different models released.
