December 3rd to be 3D Day in Madrid
SGO to host a 3D Day with speakers who worked on Prometheus, The Amazing Spiderman and Asterix & Obelix: On Her Majesty's Service
The venue will be the Academia de Cine in Madrid Spain and SGO, the company behind Mistika, will showcase the stereoscopic finishing tool’s involvement on this year’s biggest 3D movies.
Delegates will also get the opportunity to watch the latest trailer of The Hobbit, a few weeks before the release date of December 14th.
Stereoscopic Supervisor, Leo Vezzali who used Mistika on The Amazing Spiderman and Prometheus, will talk about his views on 2D to 3D conversion. European colourist, Sergio Ochoa will talk about his work on Asterix & Obelix: On Her Majesty's Service, and Lead VFX Stereographer, Paco Ramos at BSkyB (British Sky Broadcasting Corporation) will also present his views on stereo 3D and the broadcasting business.
